We are just two short flights away from Bali, or one flight from Bali to Kupang and then a fast ferry to Rote. It’s the journey that keeps the crowds away and it’s so worth the effort!
Fly from Bali to Kupang on Garuda Air departing at 10:55 am and arriving at 12:50 pm, or on Lion Air departing 11:05 am, arriving 12:50 pm
Kupang to Rote on Wings Air departing at 15:00 pm and arriving at 15:30 pm. These flights are not available now and will start in late August. For more accurate information, please contact us via WhatsApp at +34 659 93 60 92.
Luggage is usually checked in all the way from Bali to Rote if you travel by Lion Air/Wings Air.
The fast ferry from Kupang to Rote takes 1 hour and 45 minutes but usually involves spending one night in Kupang.
81 Palms offers a complimentary airport and port transfer service.
Best to change your cash money in Bali before coming to Rote. There are ATMs on Rote island and one is sited close to 81Palms.
Rote has a well equipped surf shop in which you can find wax, leashes and a limited range of surfboards that might come handy. Board repairs are also possible if you have a ding.
81 Palms recommends you to have a travel insurance policy in place for peace of mind.
Rote enjoys a tropical climate with temperatures between 28 and 30 degree celsius. The rainy season is from December to March and the dry season is from March to November. Off-shore trade winds blow from March until November.
Rote airport is in Baa, 45 minutes from Nemberala, 81 Palms Resort.
